BWS is on my list of things to try more deeply but it's like 7th in line. The shortcomings of both bitwig and live are that they don't support ara. I used to use Live and one of the things I miss is the integrated nature of the included devices. As someone mentioned, BWS shines if you are using for tasks other than traditional ones.

I came from Live after using Live since 1.5, prior to that using DP, and along the way having to use nearly all the DAWS at some point, especially ProTools and Logic (I assisted film composers).

But Sweetwater had a cross grade sale on BWS for $199 and that’s kind of ridiculous price. I think something would be very difficult to do in Reaper as Bitwig really is more like a modular instrument than a DAW IMHO, but also vice versa, reaper does some unique amazing things. My mastering engineer has tipped me to reaper and I am also checking it out.
